The starting sequence of the movie is something which Bollywood has not seen much. The slick editing and the rap style Hindi number set the pace of the movie.

What I really liked in this movie is that, Surya (Bachchan) is a bodyguard who avenges the death of a little girl he was to protect and he does so with more than mere vengeance. ''I'm going to kill everyone,'' he says, and then does, with no pity and no remorse. Though a remake of DENZEL Washington’s MAN ON FIRE , Big B still carries it off superbly like an original , cos he is original and none of the two ( Bachchan and Washington) can be compared together, Both are great in their own terms.

The movie is quite good other than the fact that why doesn’t Big B carry a shoulder holster rather than stashing the gun in his waist band of the trouser?

The killings and the dialogues are quite good though the scene of the husband killing himself should have been executed a bit better.

The title song ''Ek Ajnabee'' where Arjun Rampal does a USHER style jig was not warranted where the song was located .Infact it should have been used as an opening introductory sequence to both Big B and Arjun Rampal himself.

Both the song and the corresponding sequence have been wasted in that sequence. Also, though the flashbacks were shaky and effective, it didn’t lend much pace and credibility to the movie.

Also the movie was taking a good turn till we realize,” where was Big B getting all that money to buy weapons?''- It should have been explained properly.

So I had never expected to see such hardcore material in Ek Ajnabee-- it's an all-out action thriller that takes no prisoners. When Bachchan stuck a vial of dynamite up a man's anus, and then blew him up, after telling something like “it means it is going to blow you’re a**” and then said while the countdown ends “In our country we call it HAPPY DIWALI”, I thought, ''Wow, this movie really isn't afraid of offending people.''

I liked the entrance of Lara Dutta and Abhishek Bachchan, Very stylish and underplayed. Kelly Dorji looks good as the Bangkok police officer, but how can he speak Hindi?

Also when Big B kills the guy in the saloon, why anybody doesn’t notices the screams, and also when he kills the corrupt Indian cop, how come no body notices and reports the car explosion.

In all a good movie with pretty good but very predictable ending.

Infact the promos/trailers and the stars interview destroys the movie. Infact the promos, and then Arjun Rampal mentions somewhere in the interviews that there is a twist in the movie, which all adds to the movie's uniqueness losing its lustre.

Apart from this the movie is really a great Big B and very stylish executed Bolly meets Holly film.

Sanjay Dutt lip syncing the rap Hindi number is awesome.

In all a pretty watchable movie with BIG B giving most of the younger ''action stars'' a major run for their money and pennies.

GO BIG B !!!!!
