In our country for every seat of iit and iim there are thousands of students competing for their seat. As a result only the persons who wrote their exams well or prepared well are getting their seat. moreover these students are the one who can easily study on their own even without a teacher or a guide. the interviews and the exams are so competent that only the well known comes out successfully.
If you consider this as true, then where do the iit and iim impart knowledge to the students?
Similliarly a school is considered good if they give their students heavy homework and ask twisted questions for exams. Normally I find in chennai a few so called good schools almost filter or I can say get rid of the slow learners in one way or other. while the other students are almost made to attend atleast tuitions to cope up with the syllabus. If this is the case what is the role of teacher? is it just to make them learn everything from anywhere?. I find that better the teacher puts the students in pressure and making them busy everyday the school is considered a good one.
A student doing his MS or M.E. in EEE is getting a job in satyam or tcs as project leader on completion of his studies. what is corelation between studying EEE and doing a job as programmer where is the coincidence between their studies and doing a job. Is studying EEE any way help them to master Oracle or VB?
So where are we heading nowadays? Pumping huge amount of money for childrens education to get them back? If this is the case we are heading towards a wrong goal
Knowledge should awaken the childs mind to actually see what happens around him. It should help them to distinguish good from bad. It should make them to take a good decision at a right time. It should help them to lead a happy life with a loving job and at last have a good night peaceful sleep.
can iit and iim impart this kind of knowledge? or simply icing a cake
