If I remember my school days during 1970s, there were mostly government owned schools and schools owned by village or urban bodies. However, imparting education those days was a heavenly job. But in course of time education has become the most powerful business for individuals.
As a result, many private schools have come up, but there are very little to accommodate wards of poor and needy people. Private institutions charge very highly towards admission as well as tuition fees which a standard living person can hardly afford. However, the number of government institutions has not grown at par with population growth which is the main reason of people being bound to go for private institutions.
The national government must open more schools and colleges to help common people for sure./
