I first visited Eden in Besant Nagar, when I used to work in the IT corridor and have been hooked to this place ever since.
The place specializes in Italian food, though North Indian cuisine is also served. The pastas served are lip-smacking and almost all items on the menu are delicious. My personal favourite are the soups - the cream of Mushroom and cream of vegetables soup that is available in the Besant Nagar branch are unbeaten and I have never had a soup anywhere that is better than the one served here.(The Anna Nagar branch has a slightly different menu and they serve some other soups - much to my dismay.)
The ambience is neat and simple - and this is probably one of the few restaurants where the lighting is good enough for us to be able to see what we are eating! The prices are reasonable and a meal for two would cost a maximum of Rs. 400. Certainly value for money, for the kind of food thatt is being served.
The place is very popular among residents around Besant Nagar and gets quite crowded during evenings and weekends.
A couple of tips - If you're visiting during peak time, you might want to call in and book a table in advance - or reach there early. Also, I feel their speciality is Italian food, so go in for that(rather than Indian food) when you visit Eden.
