The Ecom express courier service guys are the delivery partners for snapdeal and here is my experience dealing with them.
I must have placed tens of orders online from various ecommerce sites but never encountered a single problem in delivery by the courier guys. My residence is two streets away to a very well know landmark in the entire area and cannot be missed by even a child looking for address.
I happened to order from snapdeal and was tracking the order every day, unfortunately I left my cellphone at home on the day of delivery and called back the guy at 8 pm to confirm if delivery has happend. Here comes the most interesting part, the guy shouts over the phone " are you calling now to check, where do you stay, I have searched for your home but was unable tofind even after a long time, call me tomorrow and I will deliver"
I have never come across anyone such rude and with inflated sense of self importance in my life. The next day another guy picked up the call and promptly apologized for the behaviour, saying the first guy was not the regular guy for that particular area. He was pleading me not to take up the matter with anyone and since I am running short of time, I am writing a review instead. I guess the good old speed post is much faster and efficient in delivery when compared theses idiots at ecom.
I am sure if Snapdeal continues to avail these guys services, they are surely going to loose market share to others. I could not find a link or email id for snapdeal to raise my concern and talk about the below par courier guys, but could not find any.
To summerize, I would not send anything through these guys, and would be more than happy to get my parcel through Indian post( considering the amount of time the ecom express guys take to ship from one metro to another).
Snapdeal should give a choice of courier or post, Are you listening SNap deal?
