Eclerx as a company is one of the fastest emerging companies in India. The company is very good in handling and retaining clients, client engagement and has a robust system in place for adding value to the existing process to maximize their business. It is a good company for freshers to start off the career as an analyst as they get good exposure in working with clients and taking a few initiatives. The biggest disadvantage for the employees here is that they pay salary comparatively much lesser than industry standards, no allowances, no additional incentives etc.
There are no growth opportunities in the company as they follow quota system for all the promotions and favouritism is extremely rampant. Another aspect is that the working style of managers also play an important role as some of them are really eccentric , weird who are very partial in making their decisions. Though few of them are good and understanding. The work culture in the company is highly unprofessional as engineers are treated as the same way as some bcom graduates.
Overall, as an employee maximum you can spend 1 year not more than that here especially if you had joined as a fresher. Another problem here is the profile in which you work . It is a mixture which makes you jack of all and master of none. So it becomes very difficult for you to enter to domains and technologies which require sufficient expertise and knowledge.
This company has a very high attrition rate as they follow this smart principle if one goes who cares hundreds are in the line to be recruited.
