I had a very unpleasant experience with Ebony Gautier - Gurgaon Store. I had booked a sofa and paid booking amount (18, 000 out of 31, 000) and postponed the delivery by 3 days because wanted to be sure that the sofa could enter the house (given the sofa and door dimensions).
In these 3 days I kept visiting the store to measure the sofa and a sales rep from store visited our house as well. When I was finally convinced that there is a mechanism to get the sofa in, I went to the store again to pay the rest of the amount and get delivery.
That is when I was told that the sofa had got sold out to another customer (on another location i.e. Noida) atleast 8-10 days back. I am shocked because I had paid the booking amount, been in touch with the store on a daily basis and had very high level of engagement. On more probing I was given another excuse that my booking had not registered in the system.. because of some technical issues. On probing some more I was told that this was actually not a new sale but a replacement for a defaulted sale earlier.
When I finally reconciled to the view and asked for refund of my booking amount I was asked to wait for 10 days. Amazing.I would never buy anything from them. Knowing my experience would you ?
