Ebay ..not a cheerful purchase experience

I am a frequent user of Online sites as Landmark etc. for my book purchase and use Ebay occassionally.  As long as the things go well, we do not have any issues.


If there is trouble, then the process is not an easy one.


Good thing about the process is  Ebay Guarantee, if you report that the product is not received, the pay pal process to pay you back is healthy. Only the people that deal with you in claims team in Ebay are absolutely customer unfriendly, these are back end accounts people who are insensitive to customer.


Firstly, their attitude is like a PDS rationshop attendant, who feels always at a higher pedastal that he is giving us something free.they expect us to pick up phone and be ready with details regardless of time they call you, even if you politely tell them they actually were rude calling at their convenience and breaking the customer's schedule[ he/she may be in a meeting, hospital, driving.anything].


second, they will not be willing to listen in full and want to move on. its like pointing a gun to say'yes' or a'no'. you could have made a few purchases from same vendor for different denominations, some might hv arrived some may not, they will not have patience to delve with the details. when I complained of a case where I received defective pieces, the vendor accepted to replce but thereplacements were still not arrived. Ebay reversed one transaction. but not the rest - No idea why. But fortunately I received the baggage from the vendor who also paid back for courier for returning the defective pieces.


In another case I received a HP printer that is already used, I complained in my feedback, the vendor was only interested in ensuring that I do not give negative feedback, Ebay never bothered to respond.


The last case was when I ordered a White bedspread, when it was received the baggage was stained as the courier company combined a Pickle shipment along a white linen sheet. the vendor agreed to replace and promised to bear the courier charges. Ebay never allows feedback process to wait till replacements arrive if defectives are received, so you lose th eopportunity for using the Ebay warranty. I received the bedsheet, but the unscrupulous vendor - Bombay Dyeing Guarantor - has not sent me courier charges despite  writing to him so manny times.


I am attachung the following items




  1. Quaility of products on Ebay - Garanimals, Vendor promised here that he has removed the brand already from listing, I recd replacements~ Ebay knows but doesnt care for quality of products displayed however.




  2. Defective stained courier received and promise of courier charges by Bombay Dyeing - Unethical vendor depiter exchange of over 30 mails, failed to send me the courier charges for despatching the defctive piece back - Ebay does not have process to address and is not responding despite loading the issue






Ebay is aware of all these, all my attenpts to reach them have been futile, Cal centers, Toll Free, Email etc, web post in Ebay etc.  My conclusion is that I wl go to Ebay when I do not find an item anywhere else, or something quick and dirty[urgent].
