Baazee needs a business model. Review on Ebay

Since I am in the IT field and was always interested in starting my own DOT COM, I have been following bazee dot com from the day that I came to know that it had obtained over $20 million of venture capital. The following is what I have understood abt this dot com.

Like most Indian systems/business baazee just doesnt work. I am not even sure what business model this company has. Lets face it, I think without credit cards in India, any dot com requiring money transaction just wouldnt work. I used to come up with many good business models for India, but would reject these business models cos I always felt that poor India needs plastic mony before any such businesses that I used to come up with. I am not sure why the joint CEOs of bazee (AvnEEsh and SuvEEr - I am not sure if they have an 'i' in their names or two 'e's==JUST AS MANY PEOPLE GET CONFUSED IF BAAZEE HAS AN I at the end or two e...GREAT NAMING COINCIDENCE -LOL)just overlooked this fact. How are these guys ever gonna make money if at all (Hell looks like THESE GUYS already did that). Let me rephrase this question again..how is baazee gonna make money considering the fact that the CEOs made the mony when they got venture capital. My personal prediction is that bazee will eventually burn all the capital that it has in bank and go phut phut.

In USA, if there are only two competitors, then one can not acquire the other. How on earth then did Indian Govt let Bazee acquire bidorbuy.com. I think this has killed any competition that baazee had. I dont think this is fair at all to the consumer. Had baazee been in US, I would have sued these guys. But then in India I guess, one can get thru government departments by bribing. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe Bazee didnt need to bribe. Just that the Indian system doesnt think this acquisition was a monopolistic move. Indian bureaucrats still have a long way to go. :-(

Initially the bazee site was slow and would take forever. But I must admit that it has improved a bit in the last few weeks. Somebody should have told baazee that they shud have had highly scalable systems operatinal before going ahead with multi million dollar mad ad campaigns that they did at the beginning. When I was young I hd heard this story which had a moral ''bullshit can get you on top, but it cant keep you there for long'' LOL
