They have a 'Buyer protection program' which they advertise. But it works only if you do not receive the item. If the item is defective and stops working, than your money has gone down the drain. E-bay won't take any responsibility if the seller does not provide a replacement for item under warranty. There are a lot of sellers who advertise of 6 months warranty etc..but it is all crap. Once the product is sold they won't refund or replace for the defective product. I had similar experience.
The seller told to ship the defective product back to him, which I did but never got any replacement. I complained to E-bay about this but there was no response from them. I then left a negative feedback for this seller but no use. Then found that the same seller was selling the same product afterwards under different name to avoid the negative remarks. So......Buy at your risk and only if the offer is too good for the risk, as most of the products (especially electronics) are fake.
As far as possible, avoid buying anything on Ebay.
