Purchased an ink cartridge on ebay India - received a defective, expired & out of warranty item. Lodged a case with ebay - they took 17 days to respond(their promised resolution time is 7 days with a refund in 20 days). They gave me a call and put me on hold for 15-20 mins, probably hoping I'll disconnect and then they can claim that I was unreachable. In the call, they told me the seller was "reputed" so I must be lying. End of story. Provided them proofs(expiry dates printed on pack, catridge etc) - but no response - gone to sleep again. Very likely, these guys are hand-in-glove with unscrupulous sellers, enabling the sellers to dump useless items. The seller reviews on ebay site(that show up as 98% and 99.9% etc) are meaningless as ebay will readily remove any adverse reviews if seller asks them. Most people won't take legal action for small valued items(a few hundred or thousand rupees) and so these guys manage to get away with all these. I'll never buy anything again at ebay.
