It was then when i was planning to buy something for my daughter which she will njoy to play as well as she will learn while playing, i saw e-bay advertisement for kid's combo. This combo had 1 laptop + helicopter + remote controlled car + binocular for 2000rs. I had never bought anything from e-bay, but it’s a big name. I decided to rely upon their 'good name', and i ordered the kit. It was a great disappointment for me when i received it. Screen of lap top was broken; battery cells were not fitting in it. Helicopter was flying, but controls were not working properly (controls to turn helicopter)


Let me tell you, it is clear that these faults can not happen in transportation, they have to be before packing them. That is ebay must notice them before shipping them out.


Then i called the e-bay customer care to complaint about the product. I was very happy that e-bay accepted my complaint and informed me that i will be soon getting replacement combo kit. I was under impression that this is the reason why e-bay has such great name. But soon i realized how wrong i was. Even after 2 weeks i don’t received any replacement or not even a call from ebay regarding it. Then i called them back again, again i got assurance that i will be getting it soon. And every time i called i got new reason for not getting the replacement




  1. Vendor has already shipped will be reaching soon




  2. Vendor is out of stock, will be sending it soon. (yes the reasons are in order, i.e. First i was told that replacement is already sent and it followed by the other reasons :) )




  3. Its vendors responsibility to send it and not of ebays




  4. Contact vendor directly. And they gave me some contact number, which were always either out of reach or non-responsive.




  5. I need to send faulty shipment to vendor, and only after he receives it i will get the replacement, but i didn’t do that that because i never get a chance to talk to vendor and get the details for sending it back :( :(






Then they started cribbing that they can only request the vendor to get me new shipment, but they cannot force etc. I requested them to let me talk to someone senior who has more authority and who can really help me. But its 4 months since i registered a complaint (and at least 10 follow - up calls), status is same. I haven't received the replacement
