A few weeks back, I was surfing thru ebay.in and came across a sale which was quiet interesting. Guaranteed Alphonso A Grade Premium Mangoes(pack of 12) @ Rs. 751/-.
The photo looked very impressive as well as the seller's description, as below -
1) Organchandru021y grown(no chemicals used) and thus 2) originally Ripened
3) Guaranteed Quality Devgad mangoes 4) Delivery within 2-3 working days(Air Freight only)
5) Mangoes are carefully packed in 5 ply ventilated boxes
6) Each Mango weighing between 250 to 300 gms and is carefully snugged in hay to help them ripe naturally in the box till it reaches your destination.
Reading the above, I felt it would be an ideal gift for my aged parents who reside at Chennai.
The parcel came on time as promised by the seller "ghasitaramgifts", except that the quantity as promised during sale wasn't there. There were only "10" mangoes. Neatly packed, in ply.
The Seller has written the below in their ebay page - "Our goal is to provide best quality goods at best possible prices. For us Our customtakeouters & Service to our valued customtakeouters comes first. You can contact us by clicking on'ask seller a question’ Or Email us - rima@ghasitaramgifts.com"
I sent a mail to the seller on the above email id, but there was no response. Immediately, I put a Negative rating!
I waited for few days, then a reply comes from their representative "Vidya" saying that it would have got misplaced in transit. Tell me, who has patience to open the ply box and steal two mangoes and then again pack it.and they would investigate the matter with their logistic company and arrange the missing mangoes delivery asap.They also insisted me to remove the negative rating as "my feedback was very important for them to grow their business on ebay".
The same day I get a mail from Rima(Seller), saying "it is not possible to send two mangoes, and they would send mango mithai instead worth Rs. 100". Have attached the screen-shot of the mail, sent by Ghasitaram gits. Taking gullible customtakeouters on a joy ride.
Later I posted a query to E-Bay customtakeouter care, and believe me it's the worst customtakeouter care division. and the so called Claim Adjuster Kaustubh M, doesn't even have the courtesy to speak politely. Off late, this has been my worst experience with ebay!
Oh, I forgot to write the most important thing, my mom says they are not at Alphonso mangoes, but the "Neelam Variety" waxed to look like Alphonso.
So guys, be aware & beware of the so called Guaranteed Alphonso A Grade Premium Mangoes, Rajeev_Vermacially from GHASITARAMGIFTS.COM in ebay.in !
