Baazee-the review. Review on Ebay

I have purchased a good no. of things from Bazee.com for the past 1.5 yrs.I am fully aware of the risk involved in buying goods from unknown sellers from different cities yet the prices mentioned in the websites are very attractive, and cannot be ignored.

Recent merger of Baazee.com with ebay perhaps gave a certain reputation to this business.

One needs experience to buy things from baazee.com.I think purchase upto about Rs.1500 from the website can be considered ''safe''.Purchase of higher value will certainly mean more risk, and they are certainly better to purchase offline, unless there is a big gap of the price mentioned in baazee.com than from the showrooms/shops.

I have purchased Reliance Datacable(Rs.99), 2 mobiles(Nokia,Ericcson),1 Mini digital camera,mini Pda etc.

Before buying, one must study the statistics of the sellers.From the statistic we can get an idea of his reputation, how much the seller has sold, how many negative complaints received etc.Just clicking at the attractive price without looking will into the sellers profile invites possible risk involved.This theory is not much different from buying offline from shops.

After placing an order, it is better to be in touch with the seller by SMS/Email/tel to inform him of your order and request delivery.I have always opted for netbanking mode of payment after verifying sellers reputation, and informed him of the payment made.Till now I have not yet got any bad experiences.

The only issue that baazee needs to look into is of the courier charges,which is not uniform.Though the price mention may be attractive from one seller, but the same thing may be cheaper from a different seller who possibly may be offering at a higher price, but perhaps the total price inclusive of courier may perhaps work out to be cheaper.

Infact to buy a Reliance Datacable I had to look in to every sellers reputation profile and also calculate the total cost inclusing courier to decide the best possible purchase and price.This obviously required some hardwork while online, but comparing to the physical hardwork involved in offline purchase i.e visiting several shops, baazee.com perhaps a better deal, provided one exercise caution and care.

Overall I recommend to buy from baazee.com, but one should not assume that it is risk-free, and requires no hardwork.One should exercise his intelligence and always verify facts and the specifications mentioned, and the sellers reputation.One should also ask sellers the questions and wait for him to answer before the actual purchase.This way you get a a chance to judge him from the answer.
