When you purchase from ebay, you are buying stuff for ebay trust as you do not vendor. But if vendor listed wrong product and ebay favor seller then buyer's protection seems to be a myth.
I bought one tempered glass from one top rated vendor, but that product was different as shows in the product listing picture which covered front camera sensor. So I initiate claim for refund as ebay gurantee.
This is the reply I got
"Thank you for contacting ebay India Customer Service.
We understand from your email regarding your claim id: 1716061, that you have received item not as described.
After conducting a thorough investigation and review of your claim, we have found that the item received by you was as per the listing description updated by the seller on our website.
This claim filed is out of our eligibility criteria and we will have to unfortunately deny the claim.
In this case, our best advice to you is to contact your Seller and resolve the matter amicably. The seller details are as follows:
We regret of not being able to assist you on this matter. Thank you for shopping on ebay."
Then I replied
Hi Team,
I raised a claim to get refund as product shows in the picture and product I received has difference and covered front camera.
I raised claim but "Buyer Claim request rejected by eBay by rkcsruser3"
I spoke to ebay representative they told me to check the listing first. but they need to tell vendor as he is listing wrong pic. I bought stuff regularly as a loyal customer.
I spoke to ebay representative again and they told me to check with vendor only.
Claim ID: 1716061PaisaPay ID: 41890244702
So now if everything is ok then buyer's are protected but if something goes wrong then ebay gurantee is no more. They should close their customer service wants to add one thing, its worst customer representative they have.
If they need to appoint a representative only to say please check with vendor only then why they opened customer service just to take commission and venished.
