Excellent Place to Shop Online. Review on Ebay

Hi all, I have been buying stuff online for long time now but in past 3-4 years have used internet to buy many electronic item. I first used Ebay India when it was baazee.com and found the initial experience poor. Soon the website was acquired by Ebay. Service gradually improved and one year I registered again to buy a cellphone. I got a Rs 500 discount coupon which was the added motivation to buy from Ebay. Checked the prices of the mobile phone at local stores and after the Rs 500 discount the difference was of Rs 350. Also on Ebay I can use my credit card. So went ahead and bought the phone. It came within 3 days from a seller in Chennai who had perfect ratings.In last one year I have done 7-8 purchases and each time the experience has been good. In my last purchase seller did not ship the item so it went into automatic complaint and my money was refunded without me doing anything. This is the kind of service which gives buyers confidence to buy online.

The costliest item I have bought is worth Rs 14500 and it came well packed and within 2 days from a seller from Mumbai. Sometimes you get 5% discount coupons from Ebay which makes the deal sweeter.Generally prices of deal of the day, week and month are very good.But a local dealer might be able to beat the regular Ebay prices on mobile phone. I like the convenience of buying from home and getting it delivered without me having to go to a market and search for parking. Ebay has a good payment system of Paisa Pay which accepts all cards except american express which is a minor disappointment. They accept few online banking payment gateway also.I have always used a credit card for payment.Only issue I have is paisa pay system tends to respond very slowly after you have entered your online password for your credit card. It sometimes take a while to show that payment has been approved and item has been bought. Sometimes I get the email in my account before I see the final payment approval webpage. You get a sms about when the seller enters the shipping details (Compulsory for each seller). I am writing this review because there are many online website which sell stuff but have very poor customer service. Either they ship wrong products and there are problem with payment gateway. Every website should learn from Ebay India about hassle free buying and good customer support.I hope the info helps you. I have not hesitation recommending Ebay India.
