E-bay showcases good deals but in case you have to claim a refund and need to reach their customer service, you are in for a scary ride.
I bought an item and got over 5 emails from Ebay on order confirmation and dispatch. (Amazon does a much better job in sending concise and limited emails). I did not receive the item even after 7 days so I emailed the seller. This guy had the courtesy to share that he has been removed from e-bay and the order was not dispatched.
I raised a claim under Ebay guarantee but there was no auto-emailed to give me a timeline. I tried to reach a human on call / chat but e-bay tried to round me up in the web of questions and different web pages.
Now I have been told that it will take a few more days before they can respond to me!
They really need to buckle up and improve their CS.
