EASY POLICY - WORST CUST-CARE - NON PROFESSIONAL

I took an Online Term policy from MaxLife via Easy Policy in Nov'14, I could have taken it directly as well however the sales-executive 'Dheeraj Singh' was in constant follow up with me hence I decided to AWARD the deal to him & booked policy via them.


I ignored follow ups from PolicyBazar as well. They wanted some reference from me hence I suggested my friend Subhendra. He is not so fluent with computers & online stuff so he highly depends on me. I'd explained him the plan thoroughly, however he was bit skeptical for buying anything online however I had convinced him to buy a policy via EASYPOLICY.


Since Insurance are subject matters of solicitation, I’d advised EasyPolicy to call him once & tell about the features & benefits of the policy & had given them clear instructions to counsel me before my friend pays any premium. This was like a FREE GIFT to EasyPolicy, they got this sale without any efforts. However this was not followed, they neither explained the features properly to him nor contacted me before my friend signed up for a policy.


Dheeraj was advised to explain properly, but since he was busy, he passed on this call to Rakesh Kumar who is not aware my friend, his existing policies, his income etc etc. He blindly started filling form on behalf of my friend (since my friend is not so fluent with computers), without noting important points likes:


• **Existing Life insurance policies of the proposer


• Current Income (which decides amount of coverage which can be given)


• Past illness or hospitalization (which is most important point to be mentioned in any application)*


In fact my friend tried to mention about existing policies etc but Rakesh Kumar totally ignored it saying it is not important & continued filling the application form. Later when they had some problems in completing the payment online they approached me & I asked them how did they start the application which checking with me & trust me guys they had not advised a proper plan to my friend. After my interference we selected a suitable plan & I completed the payment without knowing what has been filled in the form by them, since you don’t have an option to review the form before payment. I trusted on them.


On next day I came to know from my friend that EasyPolicy Executive- Rakesh Kumar has ignored the above mentioned important points in order to complete the deal. They don’t have impact, but the customer does suffer due to this. They have simply cheated in order to complete the sale. For them this is a just a sale. They do not bother whether it would impact any claim made by the customer in future or not & trust me, most of the claims get rejected only because of incorrect information filled in application. However we wanted to be crystal clear & honest in our application & we directly emailed insurance company about the past sickness & advised them to review the policy well before approval. They should issue the policy only once they are satisfied with the reports etc.


After few days, I came to know that Rakesh Singh has also ignored the Existing Life insurance policies details + Current Income etc. Again we contacted Insurance company to share this information; however our image was already spoiled by now since for them, this is no longer a clean application. It’s an application with lots of patches on it. For them, the customer didn’t fill up the application form correctly, also didn’t share his past medical history & also not clarifying on his existing policy & source of income – Finally after several follow ups with Insurance Company & Easy Policy we got to know around a month later that THE APPLICATION HAS BEEN REJECTED - (who will prefer to issue a policy to a person like this? Everyone will assume that this customer is trying to cheat in order to take a policy.)


Who’s fault was this?


• Our's ??? Since we trusted & relied on EASY POLICY for this?


EasyPolicy – for mentioning incorrect information in the application form, not explaining the product features properly, ignoring customers information & finally spoiling applicants’ reputation with the Insurance Company resulting in rejection of application, after a mental trauma of a month’s follow up?


We are been advised that INSURANCE IS A SUBJECT MATTER OF SOLICITATION, one shouldn’t try to explain insurance himself, he should call a proper insurance executive to explain this, we did exactly the same. Despite me 100% sure about the plan explained, I still gave an opportunity to EasyPolicy to call my friend & explain – Result is in front of you.


• We could have directly contacted insurance company & have signed up via their website, **what did we gain by having EasyPolicy in between?


• Does these sort of executives fit for EasyPolicy?


• Does EasyPolicy as a company survive anymore with such a low level of customer service?*

EasyPolicy Staff involved:


Dheeraj Singh – innocent otherwise apart from transferring the lead to someone else just to complete a sale on that day, when it wasn’t at all important.


Rakesh Kumar – The culprit – Executive who filled the form incorrectly despite my friend highlighting correct things.


Ved Prakash – (Customer Service Manager) – Tried a lot & gave lots of promises, but unable to get favourable results.


I want everyone to know about the worst EasyPolicy customer service & would recommend all of you NOT TO BUY ANY POLICY VIA EASYPOLICY. I would definitely approach each & every consumer grievance cell in order to give us justice for getting rejected without any fault of ours.
