Hi, I stay close to the airport and on occasions, make use of radio cab service. Since Meru is better known but has pathetic service, I make use of their competitors who essentially charge the same, but have some quirks.
Today morning, I booked a car for a round trip to Goregaon with 3 halts in between.
The bill came to Rs.658 but the driver Ajay kumar Yadav charged me Rs.200 extra for the 2 hours waiting time in the 4 hour hire, without receipt.
While I paid up, I am not entirely satisfied with the fact that the charge isn't backed up with any rate card approved by the RTA. When I called up their office, the lady who took my call, Ms. Yogita, said "...waiting charge is something to sorted out with the driver before hand!"
I mean, first I book a car, then it comes on the specified hour, but if I don't agree to his waiting charges, I go take a black & yellow!?! Is that the game model? Feel this s#cks as it isn't as if commuters are falling over themselves to pay Rs.24/meter down and then Rs.17/km on a regular basis; waiting charge should be rational and a receipt provided to the paying customer.
Also, they only accept cash, no cards like Meru. Though I have rated it low, I will still recommend it, only for the reason that the car comes on time, nothing else.
Regards,
