A real bad experience with Easy Cabs in Bangalore

I had a really bad experience with Easy Cabs in Bangalore. I was to travel from HSR layout in 2nd sector to Yesvanthpur station in Bangalore on the 17th of October for a train starting at 8:50 PM and had booked an Easy Cab for the same to start from my place at 6:00 pm.


The booking was done on their website at around 7:30 pm on the 16th and they sent me a confirmation mail for the same at 7:56 pm. This mail had all the details of my booking. It also mentioned that an executive would get in touch with me to confirm my booking.


I also made a call on the 17th at 3:40 pm to their call center to confirm my booking whereupon I was assured that I had a confirmed booking and I would get my booking Id by SMS. However, I did not receive the same till 5:30 pm and hence called them back, whereupon they said that I would receive it and the cab would reach me by 6:00. I received the confirmation around 5:50 pm with the cab number and the number of the driver. On calling the driver I found that he was on a drop and would reach my place in 10 minutes. After multiple calls and reminders the cab reached my place at 7:30 pm.


Given the Friday traffic and the late departure I eventually missed my train. Around 5 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train and around 15 km from Yesvanthpur, I called the call center to get know what would be done in case I missed it, whereupon they replied that I would need to go to the station and then they would look into it. They would not let me talk to the senior either saying he was not on the floor.


On reaching the station they refused to acknowledge that it was their fault saying that they did not have any record of me booking the cab on the website and the 3:40 pm call and effectually my 1st call was at 5:30 and they responded in time. Also they said that the cab reached only 25 to 30 minutes late when it had reached 90 minutes late. They also said that since it was transportation and hence dependent on traffic conditions they would be unable to refund any money.


I missed my train because of them and also had to book fresh reservations at a much higher rate for the next day. I am thoroughly disappointed with their service and would not recommend it to anyone.


I am attaching a screen shot of the mail to prove my point. I have however fudged the mail ID and numbers so that I remain safe from unwanted calls of any kind.
