I recently moved from Bangalore to Pune. We were a bit apprehensive about going with a certain well-known name because of all the bad stories we kept hearing from people around us. So we decided to risk it and search for an alternative on mouthshut. That's how we located EZ Move, and we are certainly happy that we chose them.
The experience was great from the first phone call to the last. Note that EZ Move arenot themselves in the logistics business. Instead, they are actually a B2C company that collate information about other companies that actually do all the work, and then provide recommendations to the customer. Our original call was handled by someone called Ameya based in Pune. He took our data and replied with two recommendations, one expensive and the other less expensive. We chose the less expensive one - Maxwell.
The actual operation was managed by Kedar Vanarase from EZ Move, in co-ordination with Maxwell site supervisors in Pune and Bangalore. One important point of reassurance from Kedar is that EZ Move's movers do not "reload" your stuff on different trucks . the truck that starts from the origin is the same that reaches the destination with your stuff untouched. We were quite impressed with the efficiency and competence of the packers and unpackers from Maxwell in both places. But more than that, we were happy to have Kedar from EZ Move phoning in occasionally to get updates on the progress. He even visited the destination to get a direct feel of the situation.
Essentially, the real work was done by Maxwell, and we are very happy with their competence. But I think it was EZ Move's involvement that guaranteed the quality of service. As they stay involved in many such relocations, their database and their control over quality will also become stronger. I would highly recommend people to contact EZ Move first and then go with whoever they recommend.
