ETV Kannada is doing an yeoman service to the Kannada community through ETV Kannada Channel. In fact, I find some of the best Serials in Kannada language are being telecast by ETV. The contemporary example is Preethi Illadha Mele with some excellent actors. This serial shows our real culture of a Kannadiga Family and also depicts the trauma to be undergone by the Head of the Family due to generation gap and change in values. Acting of Anantha Nag is wonderful. In fact, I feel his acting in this serial is far superior to his acting in any film that he has enacted. I request ETV Kannada to continue to give encouragement for telecasting of such quality serials. I sincerely feel that today's younger generation should watch such serials to continue the progeny of our rich culture. But will they do that..........? I only hope they do so.......for their own good.......
