EMI- Good Music. Review on EMI Songs

Its amazing to see how many new talents are routinely making their marks in the Indian entertainment arena. Gone are the days when we were subjected to the routines of Udits, Sonus, Sanus and Abhijeets. They are wonderful singers, no second thought about it but then the music directors like Annus, Anand and Nadeems never took chances, neither did the producers.

Maybe we should thank the Music shows that are regularly haunting us on TV channels, for giving immense exposure to the plethora of talents across length and breadth of country, NRIs and yes neighboring countries too.

The new age producers have become more experimenting and risk taking. Result, we get introduced to new talents every single day.

With EMI, we get to taste the fresh music from Chirantan Bhatt. Nothing extraordinary about the music, but every single track is fresh out of oven. The choice of singers for the songs is superb.

1. Chori Chori – Sunidhi Chauhan has become the expert voice. Good song, well sung, just that seems not too original. 3.0/5.0*

1. Ankhon Hi Ankhon Mein – Wow! This Mohit guy is making me ga ga these days. Beautiful voice. From Silk Route to Playback Singer, what a journey he has made. I don’t know whether the music directors that have used him are good or he simply makes the songs amazing. Once again he does his job with perfection. The best song of the album. 5.0/5.0

   
   




2. EMI – Munna Bhai, the talent simply keeps you bewildered. Peppy song, well supported by Mahalaxmi and Earl. 3.5/5.0

   
   




3. Aaja Aa Bhi Ja – Shaan(I am a big fan of this guy and therefore I am always biased). Frankly, the song has good rhythm and tempo. Pleasant hearing. And yes, Suzan and Rishi are good too supporting Mr. Shaan. 3.5/5.0

   
   




4. Roshan Har Dil – Raarthiv, Neisha & Joy. This was what I was talking about the fresh talents and voices. Thanks to consumerism and exposure of New India, Indian music is finally maturing and is no more a forte of few Haves. 3.0/5.0

   
   




5. Vote For Sattar Bhai – Ha Ha Ha. Typical "Bhai Style" Song. Again sung by a lesser known singer, Ninaad Kaamat. Run of the mill, decent song. 3.0/5.0

   
   




6. EMI(Remix) – Well made remix. 3.5/5.0

   
   




7. Chori Chori(Remix) – Again, well remixed. 3.0/5.0

   
   

I am definitely buying the original CD, because the originals sound good on my Altec Lansing.
