I have tried for a long time to find concealers that go with my skin tone. In Indian terms, I have slightly pale skin but when I was trying to search a concealer for my skin tone, I could only find one in Benefit. And its too expensive.
So, I read about ELF( Eyes, Lips, Face) range of products from the US of A and some of its products were reviewed in Pune Mirror. So I found these cosmetics in Dorabjee's. I guess they are also available at Big Bazaar. I was shocked to see the price. Only Rs.149.So I thought, what's there to loose. I tried the testers in three shades i.e. Fair, Medium and one more I dont remember. the key to applying the concealer properly is not dragging it along the delicate under eye region but applying some on the ring finger and tapping it gently on the entire area and on the eyelids. This helps to flush down the toxins accumulated under the eyes
So, I tried the shades and asked the shop assistant to help me find the closest to my skintone.
Okay, now I will list down the pros of this concealer
Extremely Cheap. only Rs.149 is a steal
Very easy to apply. To apply properly follow tips shared above
Very handy and can be carried out in a small clutch bag as well( as you might need to reapply often)
gives a nice cooling sensation when you apply it under the eyes.
Does not smell bad.
Not bad for the money you are paying. you can definitely go for it again.
Cons
Thin in consistency. So you need to apply more.
Do not use the applicator provided. use your finger tips. it will create a natural look
Tends to crease. Make sure you apply some foundation or compact on top of it to seal it in, all the while making sure that it looks natural.
Need to re-apply every few hours. Thats okay as I have tried some expensive products which also need to be reapplied
Might get over soon due to point no. 4.
All in all, an above average product at a very good price.
try it!
Watch this space. I will review some other products in their range soon.
