--DUS-- Nothing But GREAT!. Review on Dus

I went to watch Dus Today and my expectations was not as high as I heard lots of negative reviews for this movie. I went in expecting not a lot all I wanted to see was some great stunts and great action, also I love the soundtrack to this movie so I wanted to see them on screen. The cinema was packed and it was house full which looked like a good sign to me and the film started so here it is my review of the action packed dhoom machale of 2005 this summer DUS!!

The film starts of with the song Dus Bahaane, which features little clips from the film and Abhishek Bachchan and Zayed Khan in the song. The song is well shot and very good to watch, an eye candy song with excellent beats.

The story is about Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Zayed khan and Shilpa Shetty work for the anti terrorist cell. The story takes a great start with a mission involving all of them, there introduction is amazing as they all walk out. The stunts the first mission is amazing and especially the special effects. Zayed khan meanwhile is told to defuse a car bomb and he is an expert on defusing bombs in that team. This part of the film was dumped in there because to show each character of how they act in missions.

The main story is about a terrorist event that will take place called mission “JEET” and this will be taken place in Canada by an evil terrorist. Sanjay Dutt tells Zayed Khan and Abhishek to go to Canada and deal with the problem and stop this from happening. On there arrival they meet Esha deol who is meant to be helping them with this task. Sunil Shetty follows them as he is a local cop and saw them drive roughly. As He confronts them Sunil Shetty gets injured by a few gun men that injure him.

Meanwhile back in India they kidnap Diya Mirza (Sanjay dutt and Abhisheks) sister who is being engaged soon, they also kidnap her soon to be husband with her. Zayed khan also had a past relation with Diya mirza and he happens to still like her. She gets kidnapped from one of the henchmen of the terrorist.

Then meanwhile back in Canada Sunil shetty gets better and they explain to him what is going on and what mission they are on and Sunil shetty helps and joins together with them in this mission. Will they stop this mission “JEET” from happening I am afraid you are going to have to find out when you watch the movie?

For UK fans this would be a huge treat as just 3-4 days ago terrorist activities happened here in the UK and to watch this movie about anti terrorism should be an ideal way of getting rid of stress for UK viewers.

The first half is mainly about Sanjay dutt there is not much action in the first half but the last 30 mins is nail biting action that you might not ever see in Bollywood again, the movie is packed with comedy and a few love storys involving all four of the guys. I think the love storys should have not been put in the film especially Abhi’s and eshas one looked a bit forced in. The songs are amazingly shot except cham se which is an awesome song and great set but I am not to sure about the dancing in the song.

Dus has all the action packed entertainment you need and it keeps you glued to the screen there are many twist and turns which you will not expect, I am sure you will not be able to tell what is going to happen in the film next.

The look of the film is sharp and very colorful and the special effects only help it on, as great viewing on screen. The Climax of the film was very good and very well done and it is very surprising. I am sure you would not expect the ending the way it is in “DUS” The clothes meaning the suits the guys wear all look great!!

Performances all four men does a great job, Sanjay dutt as the main lead does a great job as the leader of the mission. He looks cool and stylish and acts very well especially at the end when he breaks down as he talks to abhi while he is on the plane simply sanjay Dutt the Vastav man still has great acting still in him and he proved that in Dus.

Another great performance by Abhishek Bachchan in Dus I am sure this will be his hat trick hit after Bunty Aur bubbly and Sarkar him and his father are on a role! He looked cool in this film and he acted very well, his character is similar to the one in dhoom (always serious)

Sunil Shetty, here is an actor which never gets a lot of credit and is very unnoticed at times for great performances. He performed very well in Dus and his emotional scene where he gets back together with his wife and where he breaks down is amazingly acted.

Zayed Khan does an above average performance he still he shades of Lucky from main hoon na, The similar acting as that and same face expressions but he made the film funny and he dessurves a thumbs up from me

Golshan Grower is okay, he didn’t have much lines his evil eyes and his bin laadin type of beard did the acting (HEHE)

Diya Mirza looked awesome but didn’t have much to act all she had to do was get kidnapped and dance a bit.

Esha Deol looked awful and her acting is still weak she needs to work on it big time!!

Out of the ladies Shilpa Shetty had the best role manly because she was working in the team as well. She did a fine job and she should be happy with the performance she gave.

Overall an amazing action packed film with a few laughs and emotion please go and watch it now I am sure you will enjoy it!
