The film is about the Dunkirk evacuation, during the Second World War. The movie covers three different periods of time. One on land, which covers one week, one on the sea which covers one week and one in the air which covers one hour. On land, a young british soldier Tommy(Fionn Whitehead) somehow managed to escape from German's firing and manages to reach the beach where he finds other British and allied troops standing in queue for evacuation. And the ups and downs including attacks from their enemies continues. On the sea, Royal Navy is trying to send private boats for evacuation of these soldiers. After a long battle with the German aircrafts, they manage to see tons of private boats in the sea sent by the Royal Navy. In the air, three pilots- Farrier(Tom Hardy), Collins(Jack Lowden) and their leader supports their troops waiting at Dunkirk.
The climax is really good but the movie makes audiences tardy in the somewhere middle.
Actors performed very well. Background music score is really good. But the cinematography is pretty weak and also the plot. The movie goes in a dull flow and makes kind of boring somewhere.
As the Director and the Writer of this movie is Christopher Nolan, the expectations were pretty high but he let us down with this movie.
Overall, this is a one time watch movie.
