Dudhsagar is a falls situated in Goa-Karnataka border. Its simply beautiful. You can see it on way to Goa from Bangalore if traveling in a train.
By road: You need to reach Collem which is about 75km from Panaji. Its on Panaji-Londa highway. From Collem village you need to hire a jeep or motorbike depending on the season. From Collem, falls is about 13km and one can choose to walk also. If you plan to walk then start early morning by 6 or 7. There is an association which controls the transportation from Collem to falls. They charge 400 Rs per person in jeep and 600 Rs per person in motorbike. Its expensive and they let you have only 1 hour at the falls. At any given time there are either jeeps or motorbikes and never both. Remember its the same association which controls motorbikes and jeeps. Also they will offer to take you to the top of the falls(near to railway bridge) and charge 400 per person! Initially they said extra time to go to top, but once down to falls, they said no extra time. So you are cheated of time and money!
Trek: Its a easy trek if you want to walk to this falls. You can approach the falls in many routes and most common being walking from the nearest railway station or from Collem village. No changing rooms available near the falls so women need to think about that. There is a Government built changing room in Collem but you will find a drunk man standing at the entrance and charging 10 Rs per head for changing clothes. Most trains including goods and even just engines stop here for a moment and you can take these trains to reach the nearest road or station.
Falls is good, and no road or facilities just like most other tourist destinations in our country;-)
