Although Drona has an interesting storyline, it suffers on account of a hackneyed screenplay. Coupled with unnecessary SFX effects, overused CGI and pathetic music this one is a disaster!

The film tells the story of Aditya [Abhishek Bachchan] who is not aware of his true identity and power and was brought up by his uncle and Aunt.

Ever since he was young, a continous nightmare haunted him. And when he woke up in fear, there was no one he could ever hold on to except for a magical Blue Cross petal that came vibrating in the wind, never failing to make him smile through his tears.

Riz Raizada[KK], a descendant of the asurs is waiting for the Amrit which contains the secret of taking over the universe. To get to the secret, he'd have to defeat the Drona. And herein, lay his problem. He doesn't know who or where the Drona is! One sudden day Aditya and Riz come face to face and Riz immediately recognized him as the Drona.

Just when he is about to be captured,  Sonia[Priyanka], the bodygaurd, revealed Aditya's real identify to him. Sonia decideS to take Aditya back to his place of birth, the ancient kingdom of Pratapgarh where his mother, Queen Jayanti Devi [Jaya]would have all the answers to his questions.

The film is watchable till this point but becomes a monumental mess from hereon with it getting difficult to get the hang of things .Goldie Behl is unable to infuse any life in the film with his executioN.His last film'Bas Itna Sa Khawab Hain' – was more watchable than this .Even the much hyped SFX are nothing to write home about .

Also it doesn’t help that the editing reduces the film’s pace to a snail’s pace. Also Dhruv-Mangeshkar’s recycled songs turn up every few minutes without reason.

Cinematography is functional. Dialogues are just about okay.

Abhishek is less than credible, Priyanka handles the stunt scenes with sincerity. KK is patchy; sometimes good and sometimes awful.

Overall Drona is a disastrous product that is just not worth it!
