Bollywood has several times tried its hands in sci-fi adventures movies eg - Naksha , Love story 2050 and so on but none of it really stands out !!
Drona is a movie with all special effect with No story and No soul. The movie is just like seeing wonders of special effect. Does that work with today's audience? The answer is that it doesn't thats the reason why Love story 2050 Bombed !!
Here goes the so called story of the movie -
Aditya, Abhishek is a boy or rather should I say a Man in distress coz of his aunt and his cousin who treat him badly (Remember the case of daniel Radcliff in Harry potter). He doesnt know about his powers and his mission and his friend are blue flower petals which comes flyin wheneva he is upset !!One fine day he wear a KADA (form of a bangel) and weird things starts happeneing , he comes to knw about his past , and that his Mom is still alive and is a Maharani of some town !!
Now he has to set out on a mission to Keep Amrit ( endless life boon) from the WICKED Rai Raizada (Kay kay memon) !! And comes then is endless **stupid sction sequnces and dumb special effects!!
Oh yea even **Priyanka is there playin a role of Abhishek's body-gaurd!! Well shes got nothin more to do than figthin with villians and Sharing romantic moments with Abhishek !!
THE VERDICT - Drona is anout an out torture , infact it makes you doze endlessly , i slept in few portions of the movie and I heard the guy sitting next to me Yawning enlessly throughout the movie !!
The movie has sum such wierd sequnces like - the one in which Abhiskeh is hit by a arrow and is injured and Priyanka is Dancing on OOp oop Cha without any reason !!OR the sequence where Jaya mets Abhishek for the first time and is singing a emtional song keeping her hands on the stomach as if shes having a Bad tummy ache !!
*Drona is a complete dud in a form of a over-hyped movie!!
*Aspects of the movie -
1. Acting - The acting by all the actors except Kay kay Menon is quite mediocore , whereas Kay kay stands out in every scene and has performed his part brilliantly and with full Dedication !!
2.Edting - The editing of the movie is really bad , the movie drags endlessly and put you to sleep !!
3. Cinematography - Its quite good , the palace in which Jaya lies reminds you of the palace of Jodha - Akbhar.!
4. Direction - Goldie behl has still not learnt his lesson from his last venture - Bas itna sa kwab hainthat bad films dont work no matter how much moeny you spend on making it !!
5. Music - Expect OOp OOp cha And the title track , None of the tracks are worth a mention.!
6.Special effects (Sfx) - ITs too over-done and its looks lousy and clumsy !!
Reason why to watch drona - Actually nonE!!

If u wanna see how to ruin a film by over-use of special effects!!
If you dont care about the story-line and watch a movie for sheer "waste of time"!!
IN all Drona is a bad film , and I rate it 1/5!!
