I feel that it will be very hard for me to imagine a life without dreams. When I think, the amount of time I have been taking from people to discuss about my dreams and theirs. When you think that all of these we are talking about, is absolutely virtual. I see so many things happening in my dreams; I have met people, experience situations, been to heaven, been to mysterious places and even got married. It’s true that I have a strong imagination and am a day dreamer. But my dreams form a big part of my life. I treasure them in my own way though I don’t believe about the meanings of dreams. I take it as it is. The most beautiful things have happened in the millions of my dreams which I hope will come true one day. Some already have been realized but some are yet to.

It’s sad to see that sometimes some good music albums like ‘Dreams’ go unnoticed for xyz reasons. I have always admired Kavita Krishnamurthy when she was singing in the 80s under that baton of Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Here she lends her melodious voice to a smoothing track called ‘Dil Ki Dhadkan’, composed by Arun Kerka. Sometimes the mouth cannot say things but it’s the beatings of the heart which will convey the message to the lover. She tries to sing the song without exerting pressure on her voice. The song blends romantic sweet music with soothing https://lyrics. The heart cannot talk but the body language with the eyes will send the right love message. Pankaj Udhas rarely sings in films. His latest album is ‘Hasrat’, which commemorates his Silver Jubilee. In ‘Duniya Tere Bazaar Main’ composed by the same composer, the ghazal singer gives his heart and pours the emotions to this another melodious track. It is one of these songs where you can listen while in your sofa. Reminiscent of some old 70s song, the feel make the listener tastes this beautiful music we had in the past. I will arrange that he will sing in my first film!

If Kumar Sanu is not longer around these days, it’s a shame. In ‘Jaane Kahan’, you will see how if he was given some well tailored song, he would have shined even today. This one is a slightly better version of a Jatin-Lalit song. Still he goes with the soulful music and reminds us of his old days. Special mention for the lyrics by Jalees Rashid. The orchestration also captures the essence of the track making it lively with the harmonica. There is also a second version. Music is by Sajid-Wajid. The dream mood is continuing again with ‘Nazar Ne Nazar Ko’. With Babul Supriyo and Anuradha Paudwal in the lead, this is another peaceful melodious track. The music with the piano makes it simple but yet lovely.

The album takes another direction with Sunidhi Chauhan coming in the fast tempo ‘Kaise Kate’. She delves deep in her voice and delivers a seductive performance. The romantically inclined Abhijeet comes to beef up this album with another ‘Yes Boss’ type of songs. ‘Na Jaane Kyon’ with Sneha Pant is another beautiful duet with a rather passable tune. If it is shot on a train, then it’s perfect number. Lyrics are by Ajay Jhingran. ‘Sapne Sach Honge’ is one of these Jatin-Lalit songs like in ‘Chalte Chalte’. Shaan does a usual job while Merlin D'souza composes a passable tune. His next track is a short fusion of flute music and Indian classical base music.

With all these talented singers and an array of nice lyrics, this one is definitely a sweet album. Kudos to the music directors who brought some soothing melodies without techno beats. With the flux of techno-hindi-pop songs, this one is different. The tunes are fine and these successful singers of the previous decade remind us of how melodious music was selling. The film bombed and this album did not gain recognition. Sajid-Wajid are clones of Jatin-Lalit and Anu Malik. With Jatin going separate ways, we all hope that this duo fills this gap. A must-listen for all Jatin-Lalit fans and for lovers of sweet music.
