"I feared the dentist chair the most" until I met Dr. Rita Mukherjee. I was suffering with tooth related problems and trying and retrying some of the best known names in Bangalore but it was Dr. Rita Mukherjee whom I met in Manipal Hospital, not only she relieved me from suffering but also offered psychological support to fight the fear of Dentists.
Problem started when I felt some pain in my right molar and the only option I had was to get my root canal done. I got it done in Delhi but because of some reason wasn't able to get my crown at that time. After coming to Bangalore, I decided to get my crown to protect my tooth.
I visited one of the dental clinic in Marathahalli and got it fixed but to my horror this crown came off after 2 months. I carried it back to the same doctor and he assured me that this can be fixed again. But the day I got it refixed, the very same evening I got the crown dismantled from its position.
I had to approach another clinic where to my horror they mentioned that the crown was not correctly designed and I need to get another crown but before getting another crown I have to undergo a procedure in which doctor will push my gums and then only I can get the new crown. She gave me an appointment after four days and on very same day of my appointment I got a call from the clinic mentioning that no one has put "the cost in my head" are you aware that you have to pay Rs 5000 for the process. She told me its a surgery in which doctor will cut the bone and make space for the new crown and this is called "Crown lengthening."
The attitude was literally thrown in the call, as if they are doing me a favor. At that very point I decided to have a second opinion about it and decided to visit Manipal hospital"s Dental department without knowing anything about doctors etc.
When I visited there, I explained the entire story to Junior doctor and she suggested me to have opinion of Specialist and left it on me to decide afterwards.
After knowing my problem, the specialist available at that time Dr. Rita Mukherjee decided to give me a little priority and asked me to sit on Dental chair. After observation, she explained that there is no need to go for procedure like "Crown Lengthening" as there is a better option to save my tooth. She explained me another procedure, and within fifteen minutes she completed the first part of the procedure and asked me to visit second time for the measurement of the new crown. After meeting her, I was hundred percent convinced that I have come to the right place and right now attended by best in business.
Dr. Rita Mukherjee possessed infectious energy, observation , dedication towards her job and her patients. She showed patience and humility, a rare quality which is sign of a good-hearted human being.
