I have this very painful cheating experience at drcars hyderabad. I have gone their after getting impressed by their website drcar.co.in where a lot of used car pics were posted with the technical reports and price, and the website claimed the following WHITE LIES.
."We have brought to the shores of India an unique first of its kind trading platform where buyers and sellers transact directly with each other."
I went there with a budget of 2 lacs for a good used car. The sales man mr xyz said that dr car charges 2% commission each from seller & buyer and they keep the cars tested, so there is no issue in buying them. I was showed one car only by the 1st sales man, who was insisting me on buying the car. So I switched the other sales man. He too has showed 3 to 4 vehicles and got me convinced about buying a Chevrolet vehicle, telling me that it is a single owner, very good condition, accident free vehicle of LS model.
Then the drama began. I was taken to NTR Garden, where Drcar office is housed. It alll seemed very authentic, fair and just as was advertised on their website. The negotiator( Master CONMAN) told that the car was bought initially at 4.62 lacs+ 20k extra for accessories initially as it is LS model vehicle. The conman then called up the seller, and was telling that.
Sir, yesterday you got a buyer for 1.95 lacs and u have missed him, don't u want to miss another buyer now. So he got me convinced to jackup the price and finally I got convinced to buy the car at 2 lacs. I was very much assured that the car belonged to a single owner.
After I paid the money, It was informed that the money I had paid is being transferred to one syed mansoor, where as the car is registered in the name of Ajay kumar, When I asked why it is so, I was informed that syed mansoor is a representative of ajay kumar.
When I was about to take the delivery of the vehicle, I have noticed that the car does not belong to LS model as was advertised on drcar.co.in, but I was a basic model car, whose bumper has been repainted in the car color, to look as LS model .
To my utter dismay, the two cheating lies of Drcar guys have finally uncovered. The car was a basic model one, repainted to look like a higher end version without the facilities, that too it was repainted most possibly, because of a some crash.
The car does not belong to a single owner . It was sold by the original owner to some agent 6 months back. So Drcar was serving as a SuperDon or super conmen for all the umpteen con-used car seller in Hyderabad city. The talk between the negotiator( Conman) and drcar is preplanned, in such a way that I will be convinced to buy at that price( Considering that some other guy has came to buy the car just the previous day at about same price) .
I cant believe that the owners of Prasadz imax, who also own drcar.co.in, would allow such business to happen under their name. Its a mind blowing con-operation. When I insisted on the model difference( Which is about 40 k for new car, so I asked them to reduce a tleast 15k-20k for the used vehicle), I was told that they would fit power windows for this car at rs. 2500/- or reduce 2500/- from my cost. This peanuts, When I got the same car valuated by chevrolet showroom I was given a valuation of 1.3 lacs. Its awesome way to cheat customers by drcar.
People, believe me, the vast range of cars in their yard, mostly belong to umpteen gullible roadside car sellers, and this conman(or their employees) is acting as a gang leader to all of them, to sell the vehicles at exorbitant premiums telling white lies, and enacting negotiating dramas, so as to cheat( rob) the gullible customer of their hard earned money.
It is better to buy from the gullible roadside used car vendors directly, they would atleast sell for less price. Or buy directly from other customers on online sites such as olx.in, sulekha.com etc., only go to drcar to loose your hardearned money.
