I am writing this review from my own personal experience with DR. Car, NTR gardens HYD. My intention is only to protect consumer interest. This is not malign any person or oraganization.
I visited them to buy a used car. They have a process of taking a deposit before we can get in touch with the owners. They have call recording system where in all negotiations are recorded and stored for future reference( this is the good part). We paid a deposit of Rs. 30, 000 as the CAR value was more than 6 lakhs.
Salesman Mr.Ramaraju led us to the negotiation table and we spoke to the representative of the owner on phone. We insisted that we speak to the owner(person to which the CAR was currently registered). Ramaraju said the owner has authorized the representative to carry out negotiation and once the deal is finalised we can talk to owner. We negotiated and after some bargaining we settled for a price.
We specified to salesman that at the time of registration the owner should be present. Now he started to give different answers like the owner has already signed on transfer forms. So after a couple of days, I took the engine number of the car and verified with Hyundai as the CAR MAKE was hyundai.
Then I came to know that the car ODOMETER was altered to show less KM. Then I discovered another shocking fact, the CAR Registration Card was manipulated to show the YEAR of MFG as 2008 . Where as the CAR was first serviced in 2007 according to workshop records.
I went and protested with the manager of DR CARS and got my deposit back. The disturbing thing is the RC is manipulated . The CAR could also be a stolen CAR. Later after questioning the salesman, I understood that he was connected to CAR seller and was co operating to hide facts. The seller or REPRESENTATIVE OF THE OWNER was actually a third party car dealer.
Therefore, I advise people who are going to Dr. CARS . Please insist on talking to the owner only . Otherwise dont sit for negotiations. Talk to operations manager if the saleman cannot arrange call with the actual owner.
To the management of DR.CARS, make sure that the customer know the exact facts . Transparency is the word used frequently in your website and terms and conditions . But practically you are not able to implement it.
