I have been suffering from hairloss since 10 years. In earlier days I had taken treatment from this so called great homeopathic clinic. For 2 years they put me under some sweet white pills which was absolutely useless. Every month I would go there and they would tell, yeah, its great result, there is hair growing on the head and all that nonsense sales talk that others have also mentioned here. But far from growing I lost even more hair and went more bald. Finally I wisened up and quit their \ treatment. And then I did lot of research on the net. See there are treatments which work but not all of them can give result.
The problem is in over expecting the results. Like those stupid before after pictures that batras will show in their idiotic adverts. One guy is fully bald and the other guy has full hair. THAT NEVER EVER HAPPENS. With any treatment don’t ever expect to get full hair back. And that is the reason for me to write this review so that all the desperate folks searching for a cure for hair loss should realize.
There is not 100% cure for it. You can save it, you can get partial growth, but nothing, not even laser treatments, not even those stupid products that they should on teleshopping networks, will bring all your hair back. And adding to this list of treatments with fake over promises is now HAIR TRANSPLANT. This is the latest rubbish being dished out b these cheaters at batras. Makes you think that once I do transplant, everything will be solved and I don’t have to every worry about hair. It is nothing like that. No doubt transplant is good and has very good results, but if you are undergoing transplant keep the following things in mind.
It cannot give you a head full of hair. Use your commonsense. If you have lost even half your hair, it means you have lost nearly 60-70000 hair from your head. The maximum any transplant can do is give you around 7000 to 8000 hair even after repeated sessions. So how can a gap created by around 70k hair, be filled by 7k hair.
Transplant basically means taking the hair from some part of the body, usually the back of the head, or from chest, and then placing it on the front or top of head where there are gaps.
It DOES NOT mean that it will stop your further hair loss. In fact if anything, most honest surgeons will tell you that after transplant, baldness tends to proceed faster. So what does that mean? It means you still have to take medicines to prevent the other natural hair from falling off. But these crooks in batras tell us that there is no need for lifelong medicines, as if getting transplant done is like a fun day at the mall. Please ask that fat crook that if you don’t do medicines how do you prevent further hair loss?
Buy getting fresh transplant done every year? Make that crook even more richer. Fact is that most honest doctors will tell you that you have to take medicines after transplant, which is often some Testosterone blocker like Finasteride and some application medicines on the head which will be something like Minoxidil. While these medicines are very effective, in 5 to 10% cases they have the side effects of things like erection dysfunction, sexual impotency, breast enlargement, allergy of the head etc.
Secondly when you stop taking these medicines, the hair fall will become double and even triple.
And lastly the most important, transplant is no miracle. After transplant you can still very much look bald. Any honest doctor will tell you that transplant works in as many cases as it fails. It is not magic. The best example I can give you of this is Virendra Sehwag.
A very popular clinic called DHI is marketing their hair transplant procedure using Virendra Sehwags before after pictures suggesting something great has been done by then. The truth is that these are just touched up pictures of Sehwag and the fact is that after transplant he looks only maybe 10-20% better and nothing more.
