Yes finally coz mine ws to be the first review had I gone on thursday, but cldnt and it ws a very bad evening but thanks to someone I was able to go today.
So getting down to the movie, I knew it would be fun and lively to watch but wat matters is having the right co. wit me which I not really did but I still enjoyed. There r still good ppl in this world and thts sumthing this movie shows. I wish I had frnds like abhi and john who wld treat me so special (gay or not). Karan Johar did a really good job, the movie nowhr has the typical KJ touch according to me. Its a very fresh movie as ppl hav already said, no the usual love triangle this was a love hexagon , no typical ma rona dona wat we had in this movie was total humor and nothing else but humor and love and life. Perfect entertainer and it does tht to the best.
Story: We all knw, 2 guys pretend gay for an apartment and then fall in love with the same girl who lives thr but the girl wants a perfect man who is our man Bobby Deol. I did not think Bobby Deol plot was not required, it ws that angle that actually gives the movie a story jus to see to wat extent they can go to get a girl. Really sweet and disgusting at times.
Direction: TOP, but yea it does fail in a few scenes but that can be ignored.
Performances: They were good but still not perfect. Abhi was awesome in that Venice scene and John was gr8 thruout. Both the men take the show frm our leading lady totally. She's paani kum chai infron tof their performance
Bobby Deol his usual mature self is very good. His waxing and clothes and all tht he does to woo priyanka is very funny and sweet.
Aunty jeeees r great, kirron kher and sushmita mukherjee and Boman Irani is jus too good. Noone cld have done the role better than him. The movie was a good comedy witout Rajpal Yadav also.............lol
Music was simply superb actually jus listening to it now and its a gr8 album. Most of the ppl here like Desi Gurl, I loved it too but my personal fav is Maa da laadla, its one of those crazy songs on which u cld jus keep dancing on and forget the whole world. Jus one helluva crazy song and rite now I m desperately wanting to go crazy and do things I have nevr tried be4. I love these kinda silly songs like maa da laadla and bhootni ke sorts......they relieve stress for me
Overall a very entertaining movie and if ur stressed then u must definitely go for it, I laughed like never be4 and also cried also coz cld relate some of the situations to my current life and got upset and yes go alone for it if ur upset, if u hav a perfect life like John then go wit ur frnds
They movie had some exceptional dialogues that r unheard of and this movie is a clear indication that bollywood is raising standards
