This is my 1st review on a cartoon series, which I started watching only few days back, since it was coming on Disney Channel in morning and at evenings during when I get ready for my office, and when I came back from office. Whatever intelligent and grown-ups says on cartoon-watching, but I still watch cartoons, as I loved many cartoon shows, mainly the Disney's cartoons, Duck Tales, Talespin, Courage the cowardly dog, Dexter's Laboratory, etc, and now-a-days liking Doraemon and Phineas and Ferb. So, I thought to write a review on this good japanese cartoon series.

This is a story of a robot machine named Doraemon, and he was sent back in time to help the main protagonist, the fifth-grader Nobita to help in his daily circumstances so that he may not face any problem. Nobita is a boy who always tries to find shortcuts for all different works, didn't liked to study, liked to play, want to show his superiority over others. He also have a love interest in a girl of his class and his friend named Shizuka. And then there are other class mates too, one is very intelligent Sunyo, and other one a fat bully Gian, and then there are many different stories for every episode, full of teachings, and new inventions.

The best thing I like about this cartoon series is the freshness of every story, every episode has a different story, and which certainly somehow relates with a teaching, since the main characters are children, so it's a wonderful and enjoyable way to give some lessons to today's children in a funny comic way through the interaction of main characters Nobita and Doraemon. Nobita always tries to do the thing wrong or shortcut way, thanks to all-new gadgets invented by Doraemon. He always has a gadget-solution to every problem of every episode, but he always tries to teach Nobita that he should learn to solve the problem in manual way rather than using the gadget, but everytime, he uses it and found the bad side of it, hence got some learning. The gadgets thinking is really good, you can think anything, and he have a gadget for it, and that gadget if made in real world can be of so much use. This great thinking, story and all great characters are created by Fujiko F. Fujio (pen-name of Hiroshi Fujimoto). This series (as per wikipedia) was first launched in 1969 as a magazine-cartoon series, with a total of 1344 stories, now its been coming on Disney channel at morning and evening time. This cartoon series was also awarded "Japan cartoonists Association Award for excellence" in 1973, an Doraemon was also appointed as Japan's first animation ambassador in March 2008. The show which I watch, is Hindi dubbed, and its title song "Udta Robo Doraemon" is nice to hear, and the Hindi dubbing is real good, and all the voice suits the character beautifully, and you didn't feel like watching a dubbed series. All the characters are lovable. But the series is intended for children, although cartoon-lovers like me can also watch it. Over television medium, it was first broadcasted in 1973 for 26 30min episodes over NTV which was directed by Mitsua Kaminashi, but the version which is now coming on Disney Channel was brought by TV Asahi, directed by Tsutomu Shibayama and it ran there between 1979-2005, for a total of 1787 episodes.

For the entertainment it provides, for the learnings it give and for the fresh stories it presents, I would ate it as an easy 4/5, do watch it if you're cartoon-lover (I haven't watched any other Japan-generated cartoon series before this one, not even the famous Pokemon)
