I was amazed at how non-regimented, unorthodox, and KIND this book was on fat people. Her understanding of their needs, their frustrations is unique and outstanding. She's quite obviously caught the pulse, recognized that fat people aren't fools.
They are thinking individuals, who accept logic. They appreciate someone taking the time not only to help them understand, but also accommodate for their medical conditions, and cravings. Her approach isn't to one more run-of-the-mill "let's-beat-up-the-binger"!
The book made me relax. It made me stop punishing myself or allowing others to breathe down my neck. Because at last, I KNEW what I was doing! So well in fact, that I could teach others! Finally there is an author, who is thorough, experienced, empathetic, empowering, not crazy, not unrealistic, and not Hitler. I'd buy this book over n over and share it with all n sundry, fat or not.
