Don't lose out, Work out is a book about healthy living by Rujuta Diwekar. I have been a fan of Rujuta Diwekar ever since her first book Don't Lose your mind, Lose your weight came out.She was the most talked about person when Kareena Kapoor surprised everyone with her "Zero Figure" . She is the winner of The best trainer in India award and the Nutrition award from the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology. She has in depth understanding about nutrition and practice of yoga.


Through her books she shares her knowledge and years of experience about working with people from all walks of life. This book is her third book about weightloss, diet and healthy living. If you think you will get a figure like Kareena Kapoor by reading this book you are wrong. What you will get is knowledge about healthy living and exercise.


In this book she explains about the importance of workout, types of workout and its benefits. What I like about her is that she explains really important concepts in a very easy language. Her experiences with people make it all the more interesting to read the books. She imparts her knowledge in very lucid terms and her sense of humor is very well reflected in her writing. She explains certain concepts in the middle of the topic by way of boxes. After each chapter she gives a chapter summary which is one thing I like. In her previous books she spoke about her clients and also the diet plan she gave them.The same pattern continues in this book. She explains how simple it is to pay attention to your health amidst our daily struggles with life.Nowadays people in cities have adopted a very unhealthy pattern of living and Rujuta manages to bring you back to the age old healthy lifestyle without causing a hinderance in your way of living!


I have read other books on weightloss but her books are interesting and she manages to keep you hooked onto the topic with her easy language and flow of writing. She uses jokes, hindi language and real life incidents to explain the very importance of health in our life. She has also debugged many of my myths about exercise and diet through her books and I am very happy to have read her books.


I follow her books religiously and one day look forward to meet her:)
