Get your Party Shoes On!. Review on Don Songs

The Don Album Has just come out and expectations are really high everyone is curious to know how the old tracks like  Kaike Paan Banaraswala and yeh mera dil has been treated and mixed. So without no waiting lets me tell you about how I felt hearing this techno slick cool album known as “Don the chase begins again” the album does live up to the hype and SEL did promise a great cool album and people why have got one of the best dance techno albums of 2006. You will be hearing many of these tracks played on the dance floor. Great for shaking a leg on the dance floor if you love to shake a leg.

I'llstart of with new Main Hoon Don that has been sung by Shaan

Main Hoon Don – Shaan

This is the new don song, its all about how don is back and how he is not afraid of anything and he is always the winner and loves challenges. Farhan and Shankar Ehsaan Loy hits bullseye with this tune. The music of the song will soon be heard everywhere I guarantee you, especially with ring tones. Shaan voice is amazing in this song defiantly the right choice for this song, when he shouts out “Main Hoon Don!” it sounds right and it does not go over the top. An amazing remake to the classic old song “Arre Deewano” It might not beat the old song but it is still great music and a great song. The girl singers in the background singing make it give the touch of a good 70s feel to it.

Yeh Mera Dil Pyar Ka deewana –  Sunidhi Chauhan

This song is taken from the old don movie and it is re sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and she does not let down to this classic, she sings very well and I think she can give herself credit there are many expectations from this song and she does not let down. The songs music is a bit odd but yes the music is a bit too extreme for me, maybe a softer note would have done. But maybe the song will look rock when seen on screen.

Aaj Ki Raat - Alisha Chinoy, Mahalaxmi & Sonu Nigam

Aj Ki raat a new song from the Don album has the 70s feel to it, it starts of like micheal jacksons “Beat it” or “billie jean”. With hard drum beats and then the electric guitar comes into use with a 70s cord playing. Alisha does full justice when she comes in with her beautiful voice. Sonu Nigam comes in and it hits you when he does and he does full justice but I will give the song to Alisha. A song about “What will happen tonight” I think it will be the last song in the film building up to the climax. You will get use to this song after the 2nd hearing and it is catchy.

Maurya Re - Shankar Mahadevan

This song is a treat as I am a Shankar Mahadevan fan, He has so much energy in his songs as I am a dhol player I have to say I enjoyed the use of Dhol in this song. The lyrics are so good trust me this song is a definitely a Ganesh classic song. You can dance to it with amazing https://lyrics. When The “Maurya Maurya Re” lyrics come in makes you tap your feet and then the trademark guitar tune comes in. Shankar puts a lot of energy in this tune and makes it sound like a rocking track, simply amazing!

Kaike Paan Banaraswala – Udit Narayan

Arre To Ka ka bataiye bhaiya? Hum rah Haal Ka Hai?? Nikle te hum Halwa Kahne.. Mohh He jaal Gaya Hai..

Sorry but what a start to a classic, This song does not disappoint one bit it has been treated with so much effort to make it an enjoyable song. The remix in the back makes it so smooth and trance kind of a song to play on the dance floors at the song Udit does an amazing job he does not let down at all. Shahrukh joins the party with adding his few lines that does full justice to this classic song. I can see it now people watching this movie in the front seats people jumping out there seats and dancing to this song. This song will bring back the legend of this song and people will be talking about this song again for a long time. Thank you Farah for creating this magic again

Overall it’s hard to re make movies let alone re make classic songs its very hard to get people to like it. Not saying these songs are better then the original no WAY! But it does take us back and re live the classics!
