Ok, so I'm back after a long time here. And if one is taking time out to do this, if one is feeling the urge so hard to write here, the subject must be so intriguing. Went to watch DON 2 on Friday, wasn’t the first day first show but managed to capture it “first day” at least.
Now about the movie, my personal 5 stars goes to Don 2 out of 5. Movie was incredibly entertaining and gripping. SRK’s entry on the backwaters of Thailand was as stylish as it was sexy though with the pinch of his signature style. His RA.One could have benefited more if he had made the come back after the gap through Don2 instead.
The action shots keeps you welded to your seats and reminds one of Hollywood class stunts (kudos to the techies Farhan brought home for the venture). The nail-biting car chase scene at Berlin keeps your eyes glued to the screen and one just don’t want that to finish. The location was apt as the frosty German weather matched well with cold-heartedness of Don character. Appears the Akhtars has some fetish for European locations (ZNMD by Zoya).
No nonsense romantic scenes and no ‘faaltu gaanas’. The only song which is altered version of original Don tune was choreographed b’fully but reminds one of Casino Royale. Infact, there are few action shots also that mirrors with this 007 flick (like SRK chocking a bad man between his legs).
Interpol was again showcased as an underdog like in any other thriller/action Hollywood movie, but that’s ok. For the critics, there was too much suspense at times to absorb and yet times Don’s moves become predictable.
But all in all, a complete package and a must watch!!
Ignore the bozos who are criticising.
