Once me and my friend had a craving for pizza and there is dominos right next to my place so we went and ordered 2 pizza mania. We were full but we just ordered because we have to put an end to this pizza craving.
Since you know the pizza mania is the cheapest pizza in their menu and when we placed an order that tried to customise it and bill us for more. Since I work in food industry, I know how it works and politely asked the staff to cut off all the unwanted things. He justified saying he has made the base as hand tossed and not regular since it’s softer. Buddy, I agree the had tossed will be softer but your regular base isn’t that bad, was my response and asked him to just process the order without any additional. This staff got psyched and he billed for what I requested
After waiting for few minutes out pizza arrives, and it was shocking, hardly any topping and which was countable(I swear) sitting on a weird shaped base which was burnt. And it was so hard, almost like a day old roti. Congo to the staff who proved his point on “Regular base will be hard” I just walked out of the restaurant because I was really not in a mood to make a scene out of it.
In my office almost every Friday they order dominos in bulk, Friday’s are generally pizza party in my office. I know they have a bulk plan and we get all kind of medium pizzas. I have tried the same pizzas when I order them individually and they are good but when they send to my office the quality is low, less topping, hardly any cheese and hard. I know they have to make 100s of pizzas on a Friday and it’s hard to make everything consistently, but that is what is expected from you dominos.
So this is my observation, if you want a good pizza from dominos choose a pizza which will cost you 500 rupees, and if you say yes yes to everything they bill you for, your pizza will be good. But if you decide to order the basic pizzas regularly without any add on’s get ready for the disappointment. It doesn’t matter if you really love their onion and capsicum pizza which is cheaper then most, they still make it bad.
