Django(The D is Silent) Unchained

Calvin Candie: Your boss looks a little green around the gills.

Django: He just ain't used to seein' a man ripped apart by dogs is all.

Calvin Candie: But you are used to it?

Django: I'm just a little more used to Americans than he is.

Two years before the Civil War broke, a Man with Perfect English accent and Vocabulary, with a Bit eccentric Dental sign on his Horsecart, walks down in the Middle of the Night and Unchains a Slave a “Nigga” –Django(where the D is silent). His proposition to give his Freedom in exchange of Three heads which are being hunted down by the State, which only Django recognises. He gives him a Horse , a status of Freeman, a Right to Shoot the Criminals on Sight and Breaks upon the Havoc! But Django has a Priority better than His Freedom, to free his German wife or in flabbergasted tones as they would suggest “Why would a woman like her would be married to Him”. The Saviour and the Doctor in Disguise(Dr Schultz) despite being an Authority from the Government recognises the Risk of getting a Slave out of the Third biggest Cotton plantation-run by a very ruthless Calvin Candie, who has his earning also coming out of Nigga fights. Nevertheless they must get Django’s wife Broomhilda out of his Shackles.

Calvin Candie: [to Schultz] Come on over. We got us a fight going on that's a good bit of fun.

Summarising this movie is just the millionth saga of what happened in America at the point of time, the era of cruelty, inhuman behaviour, deaths, torture and instances which would bring a chill down the spine. Where it excels in its execution is the Strong streak of Sarcasm which runs throughout the movie. Even in the Cowboy fights from Texas to Tennessee(well just realised that all the American spellings auto-correct on the MS Word Grammar), the Pun is very much there(!). Of course the scenes of Cruelty still make you cringe(a bit maybe). The characters are effortless in their shoes and performances too. The Cool-Headed Dr. Schultz as he sees no risk as a big risk, while of course never acting foolish. Django with a very firm and resolute stare which drips with venom, even as he gives no slip-aways of supporting Niggas in lieu of Calvin Candie. And of course the perfect Charmer Candie himself, as he in a moment turns from one to other with a Hammer in his hand explaining the Skull of a “Nigga”- and how no matter what they are bound to stay enslaved.

Django: [playing his role as a black slaver to the hilt] You niggas gon' understand something about me! I'm worse than any of these white men here! You get the molasses out your as, and you keep your goddamn eyeballs off me!

The Rave Reviews which I heard about the movie said it was a Tarantino usual, well might be since I haven’t viewed many of His works- nevertheless it’s a Brilliant execution or must say Mockery of Egos and Legalised Crime, Racism and Bias.

Dr. King Schultz: [Turns to the four remaining slaves] Now, as to you poor devils. So as I see it, when it comes to the subject of what to do next, you gentlemen have two choices. One: once I'm gone, you could lift that beast off the remaining Speck, then carry him to the nearest town; which would be at least 37 miles back the way you came. Or two: you could unshackle yourselves, take that rifle, put a bullet in his head, bury the two of them deep, and then make your way to a more enlightened area of this country. The choice is yours.
