Diveagar- A Heavenly Divine Place

The best way of defining Diveagar is by calling it a divine place. It is situated about 140 kms form Pune on the grand Arabic Sea. Diveagar is just like any other village on the Konkan coast is blessed with intense natural beauty, the tender sands below feet, coconut tree cultivations (Wadi's). It gained overnight fame upon the discovery of Ganesh idol made of pure gold in one of the Supari Baghs (Garden) in the village-Lord Suvarnaganesha which is the one of the main attractions of tourists visiting here. The beach has a lot of Suru trees, which are common to coastal Maharashtra.

The usual and the most popular path to Diveagar is through Chandani Chowk- Mulshi Dam-Tamhini Ghats- Mangaon- Mhasala- Diveagar. During the sunrise, the Mulshi Dam provides for a magnificent view of the valley, in addition to the enchanting Tamhini Ghats ups and downs.  At one of the points on the Ghats the car automatically comes to a halt because of the scernic beauty that catches your eye, which you don’t want to miss.

The potent mountains are folded to form deep gorges in between them. The stretch after descending from Tamhini Ghats to Mangaon is a true surprise with the newly constructed road. For someone with a Nanital or Shimla visit perception of the mountain ranges would be in for a complete surprise as the roads swirls like a snake with smooth and clean ride.

The beach is a real revelation, a six km long stretch with white sand & clear water. At one end of the beach is a fishing settlement while the other end offers a sanctuary to the migratory seagulls feasting in the creek waters. The clean water is so appealing that one automatically wishes to put feet in the water. A very good place to be freed from stressful routine life where one can do meditation with full concentration or just enjoy with family. The access to the beach has a dense cover of Belu trees, which are otherwise uncommon in the area. It is must see beach for everyone because of its romantic and scenic views.
