I have been using Dishnet DSL for the past 1 year now, overall they are BAD !!!


Let's start fromt he begining, when I heard of this service, I called them, and they came to our office within 24 hours, to explain and they took the money without any further delay, and said the line would be up and the modemn would be installed within 7 days. Well, 7 days passed, 10 days passed, then, we tried calling the so called '' Customer Care '', all they could say is '' Sir, since we are new in that area, it is taking more time than usual. '' Well, finally one of their Engineers came to the office, and tried to Install the Modemn, and guess what he corrupted my Windows 98se and left, we tried to call him back and he just would not come, finally, he did send someone else and we got the thing running. Great.


Now, we were happy, eventhough it took some time, but, this happiness was not for long, then the line went dead, they got it fixed up, only after 15-20 Complaints, and then ever since it has been working in the ratio of 25 days on 5 days off. No problem, that is still O.K., but, they should do something about their Customer Service, where the Executives treat their customers, as if they were waiting for our call only, and they are there to only solver our problem. Basically, they do not know anything, when the line is dead, they are not aware of this problem. They need DSL BASIC education, whatever that means.


We lost about 1 month, in the process of getting it installed, and the best part they billed us for that 1 month, then we called up the again so called CUSTOMER SERVICE, they said, NO PROBLEM, we will credit our amount in the next bill. The bills came, but, never with the adjustments.


Now it has been close to a year we are using DSL, all I have to say now, that if a person, is ready to sacrifice 5 days down time, and frustration to get the Engineers to solve the problems, then it is surely worth it. As when it is up and running it is Fairly Good !!!


In all, the Customer Service needs improvement. The Engineers need more education. They should act to customer problems within 24 Hours. They should rebate the customer for the days the line is down.


If they do all that, CUSTOMER will be happy, and DSL would be rated as the BEST ( pun intended ) !!!
