This is with the intention of preventing others become victims of the same kind of gross misconduct or any untoward incidents in future.
My complaint is regarding the harassment happened to my mother (PID no: P1361670) who, with some discomforts and ailments in her left eye, went for an emergency operation (that is, Dacrocystorhinostomy), as prescribed by the Dr. Shantanu Mitra of DISHA.
To inform you, prior to the visit to DISHA, my mother had a detailed check up with Dr. Milind Nayak in the renowned L V Prasad Eye Hospital in Hyderabad who suggested for this surgery followed by a cataract surgery as also prescribed by Dr. Mitra.
We thought to opt for the DCR operation at your hospital but here is the point we were harassed like anything to get a date for operation.
Despite persistent requests to give an earlier date for operation owing to the urgency, we were told that it will take minimum one month to get a date after showing all the related test reports prescribed.
However, guess, we were lucky enough to get a date on 3rd January, on the basis of which I booked the return flight ticket to Hyderabad.
Two days after, to my bewilderment, I received a call from your hospital informing me that the operation date is actually on 17th January and the caller explained that ‘THE PREVIOUS DATE WAS GIVEN MISTAKENLY’ (!!). Is it what you call service in a super-specialty hospital like yours?
What about the huge amount I have to forgo towards canceling the non-refundable flight tickets?? Who are responsible for this kind of patient’s harassment, the authority or hospital management?
Overall, if you see, it is a very sorry state of affairs for a reputed group like yours and was not a little more sensitivity towards the patients desirable?
