I shifted my residence on 7-April-08.  On 5-April-08, I called Dish TV's customer care no (1860-180-3474) & asked them to help me to re-install the Dish antenna to my new house.  The customer care executive confirmed that somebody will contact me within 24 to 48 hrs. for this.


Nobody contacted me till 7-April-08 evening & I had no choice but to remove the dish antenna myself.


After transporting my entire luggage to new house I got 2 calls reminding me to renew my subscription.  It was due on 17-April-08.  I told them to 1st help me to fix the dish antenna & start my TV as there were 4 - 5 days left from my previous subscription.  They told me that they have no call registered on 05-April-08 but somebody will come & visit me for this.


After waiting for 5 – 6 days more, I paid local person to fix the antenna for me.  But as none of us are expert in Dish TV's domain, even after fixing the antenna my TV is not working.  So I called Dish TV's Bangalore customer care no (080-60013474).  They verified my VC no & told me that it has expired & I have to 1st pay money.  They cannot help me until the time I pay.


On 28-April-04, I did a payment of Rs. 1, 710/- using credit card & also did a cross-check to confirm my connection was re-activated.  Same time I wrote a mail to Dish TV customer care (customercare@dishtv.in) informing them my new address & also gave them address proof.  They updated my address correctly.


I again called Dish TV's Bangalore customer care no (080-60013474) asking them to help me to fix the dish antenna properly so that I get correct signals.   They said ok.  I got calls from Dish TV’s local service centre telling me that they will come & check my connection but I have to pay them Rs. 250/- for re-installation.  I told them that the dish antenna is re-installed already & only that I’m not getting the signal.  They expected me to pay Rs. 250/- for the work that I had already paid local


person.  I communicated this to Dish TV’s customer care as well.  Nobody did anything for 2 more days.


On 30-April-08 I called Dish TV's Bangalore customer care no (080-60013474) again to check the status.  To my surprise the previous call (registered on 28-April-08) was closed with a remark “that their technician visited my house & things are working & some 180 channels are running on my TV”.  The customer care executive (leady) herself told this to me from their system logs.  But nobody had visited my house & things were not working.  Again I was told over phone that somebody will come & visit my house to rectify the problem.


I strongly feel what happened for these 15 days was a gross negligence & very bad customer service on part of Dish TV.


Even after paying money I was not given proper service.  I had to call many times to check with them.  Each time they promised me but nobody came to help me.


On 3-May-08, as nobody came to my house I called TV's Bangalore customer care no (080-60013474) 10 AM, asking for help.  They told me somebody will come for sure today.  I got a call from local Dish TV centre (080-41519566) at 2 PM.  They asked me to wait at my home & somebody will come to rectify my problem.  I waited till 4 PM for their technician & called them.  This time they told me the person will come by 6 PM.  But nobody came.


On 4-May-08, 11 AM, again I got a call from Dish TV’s centre (080-23562142).  One Mr. Raghu told me that he will come to my house at 12 AM.  He also gave me his mobile no (9916506150).  I was out side with my friends for some work.  As he confirmed that he will come, I left my work ½ way & rushed home by travelling about 8 KM.  Waited from 11:45 to 12:45 but Mr. Raghu never came.  I tried calling him about 8 – 10 times but his cell was not reachable or he was not answering.  I had to again travel 8 km back to resure my personal work.


On 5-May-08, I got a call from Dish TV’s centre (080-23562142), they told me they will come to my house by 3 PM.  They again called me & finally came around 3 PM.  I was in office & only my wife was at home.  They inspected the dish antenna & told that it has to be removed & fixed again.


They did the job & the TV started.  But they made my wife to pay Rs. 250/- for this.  When my wife resisted, they started fighting with her & took the money by pressurising her.


This is money paid for bad customer service & harassment.
