My sincere apology for forwarding such foul written HATE email, however I hope you would understand the levels of frustration Dish TV has burdened on me by NOT resolving many of my key concerns since more than 3 years!


To summarize, support executives are mostly clueless on how to respond to a complaint or feedback. Mr. SUBHASH CHANDRA seems oblivious from so many reviews, and that of the HORRIBLE customer service! Have always had POOR CHANNEL SELECTIONS.


Especially in today's situation, even a Digital box from your local cable wala could be a FAR better choice and Value for money. Dish TV support number was unreachable for more than an YEAR when I tried from Bangalore (even the local number). In fact if I dial STD, I had to wait for more than 30 mins before disconnecting when called to their Noida number!


My initial experience - (April 2005) Excellent investment as I was able to get grains free pictures (though blocky) and stereo sound.. was looking like a perfect preposition for a home theater on TV, however it soon turn out to be a nightmare within a month as I kept following up for an explanation on why I do I get a different package than promised at the time of purchase?


Finally, they rectified it after testing my patience for more than 2 months in June 2005 and I had to shell out Rs. 950 to get the package I originally opted for (I was so die-hard fan of Dish TV!). They promised that the package will be active till June 2006 (as I paid the full amount for a one year upgrade and it was them who delayed the activation). However the subscription still got deactivated in April 2006! Voila, here I was, paid Rs. 950 extra for a difference amount for one year and still got the connection deactivated! After everal follow-ups I only got false promises, NO RESULT and ABSOLUTELY no response to the ENDLESS WEB COMPLAINTs raised between 2006 and 2007, would you IMAGINE?


Stopped using the STB, threw it away with Junk for more than an YEAR. Later thought of being good to MR. SUBHASH CHANDRA and REACTIVATED the package on another promise of getting the earlier issue rectified with an assurance for the future. What I witnessed was beyond any wild imagination. I almost NEVER got a response to my endless EMAILS! When I did get, mostly the replies were few of the CRAZIEST CUT and PASTE with LITTLE or NO RELEVENCE to my original question.


I did receive several feedback calls, kept telling them that the service is below PAR, still to witness any improvement! They became worse then ever. Latest of the saga being the denial of RECHARGE FREE offer which I could not avail within 15 days due to technical ERRORS in their website (not once, I recharged TWICE to avail the offer!). DELETED the Hate Mail as didn't feel nice to share among our intellectual community of Mouthshut. Keep penning your thoughts as Companies like Dish TV or ZEE should understand that the best way to win a customer's heart is through good after sales support rather than throwing CRORES in hiring MOVIE STARS whle the support is WEAKEST and POOREST among the competition.


Recharge Free offer is a myth as they allocate most of the "free" amount for Movie On Demand which you never get to utilize (poor coice of programming and TERRIBLE VIDEO AND SOUND (Downmixed MONO Sound seems to be coming through a TUNNEL!). Also, most of the above average MOD programmings have a price tag of around Rs. 75 and ordering those through Recharge Free offer is not applicable (only below average content might be available for redemption throuigh Recharge Free! Such condition was NEVER communicated (if at all there was any) while I opted for the offer and I feel cheated when I see such caption at the bottom of a MOD offering (Not available under any free offer!)


One after thought I have started to belive that the channel sellection has improved a bit and seems Dish TV has learn to offer some Value to the money spent by the customer on the subscription. However, still a LONG way to go as far as support and quality of channel selection is concerned (where is Hallmark, BBC Entertainment, Headlines Today, etc?). I would appreciate constructive comments and lets take this verdict collectively to Dish TV for them to start respecting and trusting their customers more by improving their technical aptitude and soft skills of support staff.
