I am writing to caution everyone looking at trying out Dish TV DTH equipments and programming.
Please note that the Customer services offered by this service provider are rather very unfriendly and most of the addresses that they list on their site are untrue. Their telephone lines are all difficult to get and once through, only assurances come in but nothing works as committed. Their Staff and Management is also not bothered and claim clearly that they are a Monopoly and that they are not bothered about immediate competition.
It is now known that TATA-STAR Alliance for the DTH transmission has been given a go by the Government and that these services will be available from somehwere around August 2005.
Readers, please do not get carried away by Zee/Dish TV advertisements as they do not yet understand what a Customer is and their services are not at all proffessional and customer friendly yet.
My experience has been devastating and from 15 days now, they are still troubling me when I am going around them for a new connection. You are lucky if they serve you immediately. My advise, is do not visit their offices, just call them on telephone and await a response.
Our sincere advice is to wait and watch on what comes from TATA-STAR alliance and then make up your mind on whose services to take. Do not jump into ZEE's hands at any cost. You have to undergo their harrassment a great deal. Hence this message and caution for evryone reading this post.
