I have a Dish HD connection. I mostly use TV only for sports and hence felt all was ok with this company, even if they keep on increasing my package price. It has gone up by more than Rs.200. month, in the last 2 or 3 years. Now, there is this new channel Sony ESPN.
Their Sd channel is already there in my list. Since I love football and HD is better, went to their website, which is absolutely useless. You cannot add any HD channel by ala carte or as a package using that website - ridiculously useless. So finally called them, and the rep mentioned I cannot purchase this single channel alone and I would have to purchase a whole group of channels and hence the upgrade would cost me Rs.150 per month.
Already I have hundreds of channels which I dont watch at all, because they force us to pay for packages, rather than picking the channel we want. Now they want me to buy a whole lot of useless(for me) channels, because they know am desperate for 1 channel. Isnt this really poor exploitation? And again, their website is absolutely terrible, if you are using HD.
