I got the connection when it was very popular in the market. Actually I was reluctant to get this and was rather inclined to tata sky, since it had TATA backing it up so it was pretty clear that they are going to give mouthwatering offers and services which can tempt you.
Also the amount of trust TATA has earned in all these year. SO to compete with that dish tv had to be great in what they offer.
Forget all these. I got dish Tv because it was much cheaper than tatasky, well only the STB box was cheaper and I didnt know about the channel packs price at that time.
It worked fine till the time HD was launched. Because till that time nobody cared about the quality of channels provided. Suddenly comes HD and everyone goes crazy about it.
I was also in the league of being so crazy about the clarity of channels, so opted for dishtv HD and got the set top box changed, side by side my uncle got TATAsky+ Hd in his room. and I went lucky for having both in my house.
I kept on comparing the two with their HD clarity. and TATA sky was always ahead of what Dish TV displayed. Even the times when the rain was supposed to come. Dish TV stopped way before it actually occurred. And tatasky didnt even show a drop in signal or clarity.
Thats not all. I used to pay 480 per month to get selected channels in dishtv whereas tatasky now offers all channels under 500 per month. And gives fantastic offers like Jingalal Saturdays.
There was a time when my dishtv HD channels went invisible from my settop box menu and after reminding them of it regularly on their helpline numbers they took 6 days to repair it. In tatasky you can even install firmware on your own. but unfortunately dishtv is all locked to provide you access its hidden menu.
In each aspect dish tv is no superior than TATAsky or anyother. or I should it is the inferior of all. Dont waste your hard earned bucks on this crap. Get a stable and cheap connection which you can watch in your leisure. Otherwise suffering is what that is going to come.
